diaLearn is the virtual campus for students of various B.A., M.A. and M.B.A programmes offered by Hochschule Konstanz Technik, Wirtschaft und Gestaltung University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
diaLearn was developed during the second phase of the web.MBA project, funded by the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Baden-Württemberg, implemented jointly with thinkhouse GmbH, Mönchengladbach, and based on the freeware learning management system Moodle.

This course introduces you to systematically preparing job applications and producing application documents. You have the opportunity to practise writing resumes/cvs and cover/ing letter and to receive feedback on your texts. This learning platform provides you with information and reference texts, models and interactive exercises, as well as with an electronic application dictionary and an electronic phrasebook. Learning activities include online assignments, discussions and chats. There will also be face-to-face meetings in which further questions and your own application documents can be discussed.

This course introduces you into basic skills needed for academic writing and provides you with an understanding of what is required for good academic discourse. You will learn about and practice effective reading techniques, notetaking, paragraph writing, researching, critical reading, critical analysis of sources, organising ideas, paraphrasing, summarising, acknowledging sources (quoting, citing), structuring a paper, discourse and language functions (defining, classifying, comparing/contrasting, analysing, exemplifying), as well as revising and editing.
